What is Eternal Life?

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV)

Eternal life is a term used in the Bible to describe a life that is endless, everlasting, and immortal. It is a life that is not limited by time or space, but transcends all human understanding. According to Pastor Chris, eternal life is not merely a concept, but a reality that can be experienced in the present.

Eternal life is not just about living forever, but it is a life that is characterized by the presence of God. This life is not something that can be earned through good deeds or religious practices, but it is a gift that is freely given by God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Pastor Chris explains that eternal life is not just a future promise, but it is a present reality. When a person receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they are born again and receive the gift of eternal life. This new life is not just a continuation of their old life, but it is a transformation that takes place in their spirit, soul, and body. The old things have passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Furthermore, eternal life is not just about living in heaven after we die, but it is about living a life that is full and abundant here on earth. This is the life that Jesus promised when he said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).
